INFORMATION:
This unique cello/piano duo has been playing since 2019 in the most beautiful halls in the world. Whether at the Town Hall in New York, in Paris in the mythical Salle Cortot or even during the German festival "Der Resonanzen", the public discovered each time two musicians animated by a rare alchemy. The paths of these two artists are however very different. Camille, Franco-Belgian, was quickly revealed to the general public in 2014 when she was selected for the 21st Victoires de la Musique in the category " Révélation Soloiste Instrumental ". She has been playing the legendary Feuermann Stradivarius from 1730 and shines internationally with multiple award-winning recordings. Despite this success, she still records her records in partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF, whose t-shirts she proudly wears during her concerts.
Julien is from Arles in the Camargue. He was spotted in 2013 almost by chance by the famous pianist Maria João Pires. She becomes his mentor and propels him, without any piano competition, to the front of the biggest stages in the world. With Maria, he also got involved in his first social project. The Partitura project. He then worked to share music for and with the poorest. As if by descent, he then continued this approach by launching a daring militant initiative in Brussels during confinement: the Musical Garden.
Social commitment is therefore at the heart of the relationship between these two artists.
This is perhaps why in March 2019, when Julien and Camille rubbed shoulders on stage for the first time, something singular happened. Something that seems to unite them on the same note. Witness this version of “ Casta Diva ” by Bellini recorded during confinement. Shared multiple times by the media and the public, it animates social networks for months. Played on the roofs of Paris, this version lets escape a palpable emotion between two artists on edge.
For our greatest pleasure, the duo will perform in our new concert hall in La Trinité sur Mer. A musical experience not to be missed under any circumstances.
